Principal's Message
It is with great honor and humility that I write to the community of Little Haiti, serving as principal of Miami Edison Middle School, home of the Raiders. Miami Edison Middle School is known for its rich history and architectural design. The intangible beauty of our school is the promise and potential that fills this historical building. Our goal is to activate that potential and make the promise for our students tangible. This is why I respectfully, yet boldly challenge you, parents, relatives, community leaders, partners, and other stakeholders to take the “Raider Challenge”.
The Raider Challenge is a great opportunity to invest in the lives of the youth in this community. I encourage you to join the challenge by spending 10 minutes with one student once a month for 10 months. The acrostic poem “R.A.I.D.E.R” below outlines how you can support our students. Take the challenge to:
Reform their hearts and minds for greatness
Accelerate in academics to meet or exceed high standards
Increase in attendance and participation
Develop in discipline and decision making
Encourage one another at all times
Reach their full potential as future productive citizens
